Course Description

Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) is a Medical Laboratory Technology Diploma course. It is a branch of medical science. This helps performing laboratory investigations related to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. Medical laboratory technologists are trained for all laboratory testing and procedures. They play a vital role in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases. Training is an integral part of the first year of the Medical Laboratory Technology course. In the second year, students attend theory instruction and extensive clinical practice at affiliated sites in Calgary, or in Alberta. Here, students are given opportunities to integrate necessary knowledge, skills, and attitudes into practice. In the last year, students will prepare for various competency based exams.

Eligibility Sr. Secondary (10+2) from a recognized Board / University
Course Duration 2 years + 6 months compulsory post examination training
